King Vampire
Vampire Lord (バンパイアロード), also known as King Vampire and simply Vampire (バンパイア), is an optional boss from Wonder Boy in Monster Land that can be found in Round 2. Defeating him will grant Book a stronger Sword. This Vampire stays in the air firing projectiles and dives when approached. In the arcade version he also appears as an enemy in Rounds 8, 9, 10 and 11. Most of these later appearances as enemies were replaced by Vampire Bats in the Master System version.

- In Saiyūki World, the Vampire Lord is replaced by Yuuzankun (ゆうざんくん), a bear spirit.
- In Bikkuriman World, Vampire Lord is replaced by Super Devil.
- In Mônica no Castelo do Dragão, the Vampire Lord's name was changed to Demian (Demon).
- In Super Adventure Island, he was replaced by Water Spirit (水の精霊 Mizu no Seirei).
