Super Adventure Island, known in Japan as Takahashi Meijin no Daibouken Jima (Master Takahashi's Great Adventure Island), is an action platforming game released by Hudson Soft in 1992 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It is the fifth game in the Adventure Island series.
This game features the same gameplay style from the previous titles unchanged, with only five new islands for the player to explore. The only new ability is to power-up weapons by collecting twice the icon of the currently equipped weapon.
Story[]
Adventure Island is a mysterious and beautiful land that has many hidden dangers. as hero of the island, Master Higgins protects the inhabitants from the many deadly creatures. He has restored peace to the uncharted island on many occasions.
But something terrible has happened. While Master Higgins and Jeannie Jungle were stargazing, a dangerous entity known only as Dark Cloak turned Jeanie to stone. Master Higgins must venture towards Dark Cloak's castle at the foot of Ice Mountain to rescue her!
