Greetings, everyone! This is one of your admins, XBuster speaking. I've come here today for a short discussion regarding the wikia and its updates as well as updates that are currently underway. If you are a fan of the saga, do pay attention as I'll need full cooperation from everyone here including contributors, editors and more. I won't be long!

The Wonder Boy Wikia Mega Expansion

Some of you may have noticed, but the wikia overall has expanded to a MASSIVE degree with wave after wave of new content ever since April 28th of this year. It was on my mind quite a bit to get this done as I had noticed how unfinished and severely outdated it was.

Over 170 (255 to 426) new pages have been added, a wealth of older/outdated pages have been updated with new text and galleries, and hundreds of images have been added, updated or deleted altogether to make way for its new era.

Discord integration has also been added so that fans new and old can join us on our server, which has series creator, Ryuichi Nishizawa with us!

I'd also like to thank those who have come by to assist here and there in areas that help was likely needed. @BuzzyBee34 for instance has been helpful on various pages over the past couple of weeks or so.

Hope For The Future

With the site mostly updated now (and still expanding), I do hope that in the future, we can keep things up to date as new entries come in. This franchise deserves so much better and it was long overdue to get things to where they should be in 2023.

Site Polishing Phase Announcement

The last thing I'd like to mention is that on May 17th-18th, I'll be going on a site punctuation update regarding categories. I am requesting that no contributors edit any of the categories that have lowercase words in them as they're all being updated to capital ones on that day. Categories are something that should be capitalized and seeing something like "Monster World IV enemies" instead of "Monster World IV Enemies" has been a bit of an eyesore.

Once everything's been updated, the lowercase category will be deleted, which in turn, will make the wikia that much more polished. It's a small change, but it will have a big impact regarding presentation, trust me.

I've kept an extremely close watch over Wonder Boy's history, its fandom and their contributions ever since 2012 and have built an archive of media over the past decade that aided in this update. Also, huge thanks to everyone such as @Quick and @Nemesislivezx who made it possible for me to become an admin in the first place. You chose the right guy and things are in very good hands!

It's been a while, but I've returned and am ready to apply the next wave of updates in various directories. This will include new information, a new entry for Wonder Boy Collection (if it hasn't already been added) and much more!

There's a handful of reasons why we need to complete the wikia for the saga, one being that we're about to expand once again to Reddit and a fan site chock-full of content both official and fan made. We hope you are looking forward to what is yet to come! :D

I want to join you to expand this wiki because I'm fan of Monster World series & many topic about this series is so overlooked that many people clueless what this franchise is about. It doesn't help Sega themselves not really push this series on marketing departement.

So I & my other friend want to collaborate with you to create informations, fun facts, & trivia surrounding this series to spread this for many retro gamers. I also want to help designing some wiki assets for custom graphics to help visualize this wiki like the header's banner for instance, but I don't know how to implement it into wiki scripting. As long as I have time & chance to do so, I would happy to help.
